Comedy.com (aka IMGN Media) was a technology-driven video network designed for mobile and social-savvy millennials. It connected millennials and content creators through high-quality, meaningful, and relatable short-form comedy videos.
As a co-founder & lead designer, I was responsible for the brand creation and user experience design in all aspects of the product.

↳ Early versions of the mobile app
The app allowed users to discover, follow, and watch comedic shows and trending videos. It provided options to subscribe to creators, mark favorites, and share content directly, creating a hub for comedy enthusiasts to engage with both content and community.

↳ Advanced versions of the mobile app
As part of our brand’s playful approach, I added humor to otherwise dull areas. For instance, I used the title “Things you shouldn’t do” for the ‘Signout’ action and hid an “Awake check” Easter egg within the typically boring terms of use page.

↳ Website evolution in stealth mode (initially named ‘Jivi’)
The first stage focused on collecting emails while subtly promoting the brand’s message of life being boring and lacking fun. In the second stage, we directed users to the app store, while playfully adding “tears” to the Android icon since the Android version was still in development. On hover, users were informed of the expected Android release, keeping them engaged and excited.

To align with the brand’s playful tone, we rephrased the standard “forgot password” text and used a literal “fan” icon to represent “fans,” which turned into a spinning fan on hover.

With the limited budget I had, I decided to bring the brand values into our workspace. The main color was applied to the walls, along with a custom wallpaper designed in-house, which was installed as a team. Quirky gadgets, funny quotes, and playful team illustrations were also added to create a lighthearted vibe.
