Better Place was a company focused on developing and operating infrastructure for electric vehicles, particularly battery swapping stations. It aimed to replace traditional fuel-based vehicles with electric ones by building a network of charging and swapping stations.

This project has been my ultimate UX learning experience.
For the first time in my design career, I’ve engaged in a comprehensive project, solving real-world problems and needs, rather than just focusing on brands and layouts.

↳ The operation center dashboard
Provided real-time monitoring of their EV charging network, tracking station performance and energy use. Displayed in the visitors center, it also served a marketing function by showcasing the company’s technology to potential EV customers.

↳ Visual language for internal GIS management interfaces
This project started as part of my onboarding and was later printed for each technician to use at their workstation, serving as a legend for internal communication.

↳ Battery switch station on-site screen design
For the on-site screens, I worked directly on location, adjusting the design in real time by driving cars to experience the flow. I factored in daylight, screen visibility, heights, and the driver’s perspective for both current and upcoming screens, while referring to the brand book and making changes as needed for consistency.

↳ Battery switch station remote management app
By providing real-time data and remote control, the app streamlined battery management, replacement processes, and overall station oversight.
